surname: coccini

Post by caity »

My name is Caity. I live in London and I believe my fathers family came from Italy, I think Sicily but I cannot be sure. My Grandmothers maiden name was coccini, (which I think she changed to Cocking when she moved to England.)
If anybody has any information on the surname coccini, such as where it originated from ( very important) or other names it is linked with, or even names of the people in the families this would be extremely helpful to my family history research. PLease email me or post a reply. Thankyou very much.

You had better come up with some dates of arrival and whteher you checked census in england since early census may reveal original surname. Any old cigar boxes aroud with fotos, letters, postcards? How is a body to know if your talking aboujt the turn of the century or post war !!?? Peter
