They are new of the forum, I wanted to ask if someone could help to try my relatives in America. The last names are de Pilla and Frontier.The de Pilla is emigrated in 1910 and the 1913 from Saint Severo (Puglia) leaving from the port of Naples, has found theirs certifys on the site www.ellisisland.com, knows that the first two, uncle and grandson, emigrated in the 1910, have married themselves between of they, but of their branch of paentela I do not know nothing, while third that is emigrated in the 1913 has been married with a Frontier and they have had one (or more) sons (Domenic Frontier, married with Adelina), than in its turn he has had 3 sons, Michael, Jimmy and Robert that but are died in 1976 to 30 years. Beyond to having "genealogy" information I am also trying to trace the relatives still while still alive. I have also an address that approximately 20 years ago was still right: 5129 west grace street - chicago - I do not succeed to find no situated one where to recover a similar number of telephone or... you help me I pray to you! Invece Irma De Pilla immigrata nel 1913, sembra fosse la cognata di Raffaele e figlia anche di Ernesto... 8O il viaggio è cancellato e quindi è partita effettivamente dopo qualche tempo....

There is a phone number for Michael in Chicago but it's a personal number and I don't want to post it. I would be happy to call on Monday and find out if he is related or not. And give him the site address here so he can talk to silvia. Can you ask Silvia what her relationship is to the people that sailed in 1910 and 1913 so I can relay that information to Michael. Also tell her that Dominic, who is 92, I believe is still alive. There was info but was listed as private so I have no access to it. This Dominic could be the Dominic that married Adelina.

If he was born in Cortale (located in Catanzaro Province) the real surname would have probably been Frontera. In local dialect it is pronounced Fronchera. There were a huge number of people from Cortale who immigrated to the Chicago area.

I know this post is old but I was doing some research and noticed my grandmother’s information in some of the old census provided to Silvia. I am not sure if there is any relation but my grandmother was Norma Di Pilla, daughter of Anna and Rafaelle Di Pilla, From Puglia. I am not sure if this helps but I thought I would share.
