I have found this...

In the other direction you can walk to Tintagel past St Materiana's Church (The Oldest Church in Cornwall) and the ruins of the legendary King Arthur's Castle arriving at Bossiney the scene of a famous ship wreck in 1893. The Iota's cabin boy who perished is buried in the church yard and has his grave marked with a life belt from the ship.

I will send you the link via PM

Livio I am amazed that you found a reference to the Iota sinking in the advertisement for the Atlantic View Hotel in Tintagel, Cornwall on what to do and see if you stay there with a Cabin boy (unamed) buried there with a life saving ring from the Iota!!!

You must have had a wild date the night before to find this one! Congratulations,.=Peter=

The life ring on the grave is a made up one from canvas I also have some parts from the wreckage , I have since been told that the ship was defently IOTA not SS SCOITA ,
The boy who perished was Domenico Catanese he was approx 14 years old in 1893

I will keep trying any ideas of any other links ?

You may (but almost certainly will) find information on the ship and the shipwreck from the Lloyds Register in London. Here are some links on how to go about this:

>If you know the name of a ship<

>Using the Registers<

>Shipping Information Sheets<

Good Luck!
