Italian Army WW1

I have a photo of my grandfather Constantino Basso in a Italian Army uniform from WW1.
I am trying to fine what regiment he may have been in.
He is from the province of Vicenza.

I have an almost identical picture of my grandfather in the army. It is from the same photographer because it is the same plant/stand! He was discharged from the Italian army in 1918.

Is your grandfather in the same uniform.
Do you now that regiment or military branch or where he served, maybe our grandfather's were in the same regiment.

Here is my picture of my grandfather in his uniform. Sure looks like the same photographer! I just started researching his history. I have lots of his military documents from Italy also. Keep me informed what you find out about all this.

It dose look like the same photographer, my photo was glued in a album so I can't tell where it was taken, is there any info on the back of yours that might tell us where the studio was.

I think my grandfather was in the Italian Cavalry? Do not know where.

When and where was your grandfather born, and in what office or web site were you able to get his military documents from, as I am trying to find my grandfather military history.

There is no information on the back of the photo. He was in the Calvary...that much I do know. My mother gave me all of his originol documents from Italy that she had in storage. I might scan them and post them.

You can write to the Military archives in Vicenza at the Provinncial Archivio di Stato and request his Service records (Registro di Ruolo).

The first two words of the inscription are "Con affetto" - "With affection" or "Affectionately". The signature is "Gaetano", a common Italian given/first name.

Possibly "parenti" - relatives?

I've cut the relevant part of the image down and twisted it around. What I can make out so far is, "Che la fortuna xxx xxx noi mi tutti i nostri desideri - Gaetano"

Is the first missing word "sul"?
