Help with an Italian name please

I am helping someone with there Italian ancestor the name she has given is,

Reigo Delmattie

I have looked on a few sites but cant find the first name or surname are the names typicaly Italian.

The surname is most likely MATTEIS based upon the base surname Mattei appearing inthe Italian surname dictionary and mattie is a variant of that base surname. The De or Del means "Of or of the". The first name could possibly be REMIGIO derived from Saint Remigius (LATIN).

Go to www.gens.labo.net/en/cognomi and insert Matteis for name distribution thruout Italy and click on NOMI above for first names by alphabet. =Peter=

they are wrong completely.. Peter given a good suggestion.. but it is hard to say.. because frankly I understand not if is abt a male or female person... the first name could be Diego, Biagio, Remigio... I believe Diego.... the surname could be DEL MATTO, DI MATTEO, DE MATTEIS etc... DEL MATTO could be possible....
