Hello!

Have you located your g-grandfather’s ship manifest?

Here’s a possibility from 1905, quite a few folks from San Vincenzo Valle Roveto
(comune of San Vincenzo Valle Roveto, province L'Aquila, Abruzzo)
They’re headed to either Philadelphia or Buffalo

from ancestry. com

30 Apr 1905, SS Equita, Naples to NY
Line 29
Mirino (Quirino) Colaiaomo (Colaiacovo?)
- 19, born abt 1885-6
- single
- last residence S Vincenzo Valleroveto
- destination Buffalo, NY
- joining friend Costantino Novelli (common to several folks on the manifest)

link to the same manifest on the Ellis Island site:
http://www.ellisisland.org/EIFile/popup ... &line=0029

Could this be your Querino Colaiacovo?
If it is (and he was actually born in San Vincenzo Valle Roveto) we can direct you on how to learn more about his family in Italy.

Hey Kristin,
Most of the records are from ancestry. com, a subscription site
Most larger libraries have a library version of ancestry that they offer for free at the library.
If you would like us to help, you can post your non-Italian records here:
