My maternal grandfather was a Perri. His family was from Parenti Italy. Went there last year and Parish priest has records back to 1400's. Very cooperative. My cousin has all the data. If you e/m me I will put u in conntact.

another mystery is abt the marriage;
already .. we know:

Giovanni Fiore

Family

Mother: Lurenza Romagnamo ( Lorenza Romagnano)
______________________________________Marriages:

and in same day married also:
Guiseppe Fiore

Father: Gerardo Family

Mother: Lusenza Romagnano
______________________________________Marriages:
Spouse: Antonetta Santora
Family

Marriage: 27 DEC 1892 Manhattan, New York, New York

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-the certificate number of Giovanni Fiore and Pasqualina Santoro is:
15905 (1892)

-the certificate number of Giuseppe Fiore and Antonietta Santoro is:
15907 (1892) they had sure a son: Gerardo Fiore born in 11 FEB 1894 Manhattan, New York, New York
it are some mystery abt the marriage... however it could be right as record, also if for some reason I cannot find the 1900 census for both the Fiore families;
however the parents of Fiore brothers, was Gerardo Fiore and Lonenza Romagnano...
I found 2 records abt this persons, and especially abt Lorenza Romagnano the birthplace is Postiglione, in Campania region and not in Calabria region...

Giuseppe Fiore married at Antonietta Santoro, but died very soon; they had 3 children:
-Gerardo Fiore( becoming George: b 11 feb 1894-death apr 1966 Manhattan, NY-married at Rosina Romano)
-Patrick/Patsy Fiore
-Laura Fiore
-Richard Fiore
the last child , Richard, was born abt in 1904; beetween 1904 and 1908 Giuseppe Fiore died; in 1908 Antonietta Santoro Fiore married at Michele LaPadula ( La Padula: birth 29 Jul 1885 Loseto, Bari), he was more young of 8 years; Antonietta seeming born around 1877 and immigrated in 1890 if the data on the censuses are correct... but I think that she was born around 1875.. and maybe also Pasqualina was no born around 1880, but a bit before...

with Michael LaPadula, Antonietta had other 3 children:
-Angelo LaPadula
-Frances LaPadula ( married surname: Landi)
-Minnie LaPadula

well, in the 1920 census, you know that John Perri was John Fiori(Fiore); by marriage record he was Giovanni Fiore... we cannot know more abt that, if the right italian surname was really PERRI OR FIORE; if the marriage record is correct, well the surname is Fiore, changed at Perri for some reason.....
Now I wish ask you: you are sure that Giovanni Perri/fiore was born in Calabria? you sure to 100%? by documents? naturalizations? obituary?

I know the Perri side of my family comes from Calabria as per my father. I'm half Calabrian and half Sicilian on his side. His father's family was from Calabria, his mother's from Sicily.

I ordered the death certificate for Giovanni Perri, so I will at least be able to find out his parent's names. I didn't receive it yet though, so hopefully it will be found.

So I discovered that the Pasqualina Santoro that married Giovanni Fiore was my great-grandmother. I discovered this from the marriage record I ordered for Giovanni Perri and Pasqualina Santore. It listed Pasqualina's current name as Pasqualina Fiore yet her father's name was Giuseppe Santore. My guess is she divorced and remarried or her first husband died. And now I know that Pasqualina had a sister Antonetta. =) Thank you. That just made my day. I have someone doing some legwork for me regarding the Perri family. Some things are starting to come together.

I'm curious about your Romagnano family member from Postiglione, Italy. My family is from Postiglione and is Romagnano. I'll read through all the posts and I have family history back to the 1700's and would love to chat with you on what you have on the Romagnano family line.
