Re: Google News Archive R.I.P.

UPDATE: still no 'advanced search' page available, but satisfactory results can be obtained using this format in the search bar "keyword/name" source:"partial paper name"...

Re: Google News Archive R.I.P.

yes squigy, that that search field DOES work, and can be of some use, but just yesterday i was using the "advanced search" page and finding oodles more than with this one. as of this morning, my "advanced search" page bookmark now immediately forwards directly to http://www.google.com . so stupid.

Re: Help Me

now you've got me thinking about this.

it is also possible, i suppose, that the family left Italy for Brazil AFTER 1902... although if it were after 1903, Giuseppe could not have been with them.

Re: Help Me

Peter- unfortunately, i do not understand Portugese. i couldn't find the family's arrival either (one source). i am not certain of the year they may have arrived in Brazil, but it would have most likely been between 1894-1902. my great-grandfather, Giuseppe COSENTINO (b. 15 Aug 1884), would have als...

Re: Help Me

Peter- earlier in the thread it was mentioned that the SANTARSERI family went from San Nicola to Brazil to America. the italian/brazilian family i would be interested in (and would welcome any help on) is COSENTINO (not CONGIUSTI). the family of Gregorio COSENTINO (b. 8 May 1856) and his wife, Rosam...

Re: Italian Cemeteries Question

while visiting my small ancestral town in Sicily, it was a local police officer who showed us around and took us to the cemetery where many photos were taken. some photos even included the police officer and cemetery caretaker.
