Re: Question about new rules re: jure sanguinis
Thanks Pippo. My other question was about my grandchildren. Does this mean that they will not be able to apply? Again, I got in because of my grandfather (my daughter's great-grandfather), so even though we are officially 'in", my grandchildren are forbidden, correct?

Question about new rules re: jure sanguinis
Disappointed in the new ruling re: jure sanguinis citizenship; appears to be misguided - coming at a strange time when Italy is experiencing a serious negative birthrate.
My questions:
1) I achieved jure sanguinis citizenship 14 years ago (via my grandfather) and at the same time my daughter ...

Looking for 'Forte" and "Pennino" in Cattolica Eraclea.
Santo Forte was born in Cattolica Eraclea in 1870 and emigrated to America in 1907. Santo's parents were Maria Rosa Pennino and Francesco Forte. I'm looking for living or deceased relatives, including where deceased relatives might be buried. All help appreciated.

Re: Need help/advice for grandchildren
Thanks you very much! Currently, what I'm having an issue with is finding out whether or not I'm registered for FAST IT and AIRE (as well as my daughter)
I went online and the server for FAST IT keeps kicking me out. I'm using the latest browser version (Chrome). When I received citizenship I don't ...

Thanks for this suggestion. For anyone else trying to renew a passport at the San Francisco Consulate - or questions about passports - the correct email to send requests is:

you said:
"You have to be registered as AIRE (Italian registered outide the country) in the town of residence."
OK, I live in in San Francisco. Are you saying that I have to register as AIRE, living in SF?
I already vote in the Italian elections; they send me voting cards; they know where I live ...

Re: Jure sangunis for grandson?
Thanks. This is all very helpful. My daughter is very busy in a graduate medical program, so I'm hoping to make this move along because she may move to the Southeastern US in a year, where she would be subject to the Miami Consulate rules which appear far more restrictive and constrained than the ...

Re: Jure sangiuinis - second cousin - maternal path
So, IF my cousin's great-grandmother had been over 21 at the time of naturalization would my cousin qualify,*in spite of* her great grandmother not being married pro-Cable Act? I ask because I'm not exactly sure of when her 21st birthday was. She was 9 when immgrating with her mother, in 1909; her ...

Thanks, Italian translator for your information. Not sure if this would help, but here is my cousin's timeline (on his mother's side)

2) Great-great-grandmother follows in 1909, with three children ...
