Name change Licusati to Cusati

Hello all, Does anyone know why a surname would be changed from Licusati to Cusati? I just discovered this today, for my GGGGF; he was born and married as Salvatore Licusati, but is listed on his death certificate, children's birth and death certificates and children's marriage documents as Salvator...

Name identification

Hello,

I am requesting a name identification from the following record:
www.antenati.san.beniculturali.it_ark__12657_an_ua868148_Lo6yGmN_lang=en (1).png
The surname is Pacelli, but I cannot ID the mother's first name.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

De Luca from Palinuro, Centola, SA

Good afternoon, I am looking for birth records for any of the following brothers: Vincenzo, Donato and Antonio De Luca. Their parents were Tommaso De Luca and Raffaela D'Angelo. My GGGF was Vincenzo De Luca, (aka James De Lucca) born 1859, day not listed (per his PA death certificate: died 2 Feb 194...

Surname identification

Hello all, I am unable to figure out the surname of my GGGGM, listed on the atto di Norte of her daughter, Isabella Villano (numero 8). I can read (mother of deceased) Giovanna, but her surname to me looks like either “Colembo” or “Colerubo” which are not Italian surnames. Does anyone have any idea ...

Questions re:1884 atto di matrimonio

Hello all, I have a question regarding the following atto di matrimonio, between Vincenzo DeLuca and Filomena Cusati (numero cinque). What is the actual date of their marriage? Is it 10 May 1884, the date listed on the last sentence? I am not familiar with Italian marriage records from this period. ...

Re: Application Forms

Since your father is your Italian ancestor which you are applying through, your mother does not need to complete this form.

Re: Help--Translations of PA marriage and death certificates

Prego, AM. I should add the dates in my translations were written in full, European format: August 30, 2011 would be written as 30 agosto 2011.

Best of luck with your application.

Re: Help--Translations of PA marriage and death certificates

Here's a copy of a PA marriage certificate translated, from a few years ago. I removed all personal info. I don't know if PA still issues marriage certificates like this, but it was in paragraph form with info from the ledger, rather than an official-looking form like all other certificates I had. H...

Re: Vincenzo = James??

Thanks Carmine for your explanation. Like the OP, I have 2 ancestors who went from Vincenzo to James, and I have always wondered why they did not go by Vincent.
