I am related to Giumera Buti. I saw the graves when I was in Gallese this past March. Our common ancestors are her parents.

My great grandfather was from Oppido mamertina. I think Family Search has some records from there.

Can someone help me with this? This is an envelope from a cousin in Bellosguardo Italy to my uncle. Is her name on this? I would think her last name is Parente since that was my GGM name. Somebody Parente (child) of Antonio? And then something that begins with V?

My great grandparents lived in Gallese Italy but one of them was born in Vigliano according to her death certificate. The record is from 1881. Several towns pop up when I type in Vigliano. Any idea of which would relate to 1881? Thanks.

We have records back to the 1600s for our family from Greci in Avellino. Some cousins have made made copies and also translations of what is available at the church. We are very fortunate. I wish I had it for other great grandparents.
