Re: Gugino information

Francesco's wife was Rosaria "Sarah" Gugino. She was born 12 feb 1862 in Valledolmo, died 17 oct 1940 in LeRoy, NY. Her parents were Francesco Gugino and Concetta DiCarlo. Francesco and Rosaria are not related even though have same surname.

Re: Latin name translation

Biff,
I think you are correct. I have compared letters with other entries and have determined the names are Gandolfus or Gandolfo in Italian and Stephanus. Thanks

Re: Latin name translation

I think you are right. I showed a friend and he thinks it is Stephanus. And he thinks the other is Gandolfi or Gandolfo.

Help with birth Certificate in Latin

Here is link http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/718/guginofrancescobirthcer.jpg/ I obtained this from an Allegati for Francesco Gugino and Concetta di Carlo. Francesco's parents are Antonino Gugino and Fortunata Parlato. Is this Salvatore's birth certificate or baptisimal certificate on 14 Feb 1814?

Re: Maloni, Salvatore

I Think you are right. Salvatore's first male child's name is Nunzio. Is Annunziato the formal name and Nunzio a "nickname" in italian?

"The year 1783, the day January 15 John Gugino (???) husband of Josepha Sancineto (?) at the age of 87 years (? # about, confessed, fed the Holy viaticum, ... ... ... in communion of Holy Mother Church made the soul to God, assisted by Rev. chaplain don Francesco ...

Re: help with birth certificate 1783 in Latin

I got this from an Allegati for Salvatore Gugino and Calogera Privatera. The 1783 is consistent with the birthday of Salvatore's father Antonino Gugino. I think this is Antonino's birth certificate. Is Giovanni his father and Giuseppa his mother? This would be great if so! I have seen a reference of...
