ARTUSO of Montescaglioso

Hey again,

In a separate post, a lot of people have been helpful in leading me to find my ARTUSO ancestors in Montescaglioso (when I previously thought it was somewhere far away!)

I am researching

Saverio ARTUSO (1865-1916) and his father,
Giuseppe ARTUSO (1840?? - ????)

Saverio and his brothers ...

TOCE of Corleto Perticara

Hello,

I am looking for my family in Corleto Perticara.

According to my research from ancestry and microfilms, I don't follow the same line as some people have posted in the forums, even though we share a name in the same city at the same time we are researching!

This is my line:
Paolo TOCCI ...

Re: ARTUSO of Corleto Perticara

I made a mistake. The TOCE family is from Corleto Perticara, I don't know for sure where the Artuso family is from. Only Potenza is listed as the home "town" of the relatives... I'll have to check your suggestion.

Rocco, a son of Giuseppe and sibling of my 2x great grandfather Saverio, is listed as ...

Re: ARTUSO of Corleto Perticara

Checked that and noted.

Is there any way I could search online for any kinds of records from the Potenza region between 1850-1890 for births, marriages, deaths?

Re: Toce family from Corleto Perticara, Basilicata Italy

My earliest ancestor is Domenico Nicola Toce of the same town... don't know his birth year but his son Paolo Nicola Toce was born in 1810.

Brothers, maybe?

Re: New York City Birth Certificate for deceased father

you might need to contact the NY Dept of Municipal Archives.

They tend to have everything by microfilm but they'll look up birth/death certificates prior to 1920 if you give them as much info as possible. They charge extra per-borough that they need to search, so if you know the relative is from ...

Re: ARTUSO of Corleto Perticara

Thanks for the welcome! I am excited to explore my own ancestry and to help others explore theirs.

Thanks also for the help. I do not have a copy as the Family History Library hasn't been able to offer me that microfilm yet, but they do have it on file. I think perhaps someone else has it right now ...
