1948 case now lost cause
Was born in bueno Aires to a us father and argentinean mother. Finally got all the paperwork in hand. Unfortunately mother naturalized when I was 9 so now I’m screwed.
Any change this minor issue interpretation gets reversed?

Sorry for being so late to respond, and hope you are safe. We found the record. Issue was he didn't get his birth registered until they needed to, and that wasn't until he was 19.

Getting documents from Argentina
Anyone else have experience with this? I’m using an attorney there and the state of San Juan is sitting on the last two documents I need. It’s got me worried that I won’t get them.

Conozco un abogado en Argentina que posiblemente te puede ayudar, pero creo que tu caso sera dificil sin mas informacion. Si quieres informacion para ciudadania, creo que tu caso no sera exitoso porque italia ni existia cuando tu bisabuelo llego a Argentina.

Your case will be rejected without the birth certificate of the ancestor born in Italy. What do you mean by the official document from Palaia? The only document that proves your ancestor was Italian is his birth certificate showing the names of his parents who also must be Italian. A marriage ...

I am trying to get my citizenship to Italy. Finding the last bit of paperwork and we should be good to go to apply.
But can my wife and daughter acquire citizenship through me later? If so, what is the process, and how hard is it? My wife is semifluent in Italian and my daughter is 6 months old.
