1948 case now lost cause

Was born in bueno Aires to a us father and argentinean mother. Finally got all the paperwork in hand. Unfortunately mother naturalized when I was 9 so now I’m screwed.

Any change this minor issue interpretation gets reversed?

Re: Getting documents from Argentina

Sorry for being so late to respond, and hope you are safe. We found the record. Issue was he didn't get his birth registered until they needed to, and that wasn't until he was 19.

We have copies of the documents in question. I think the issue is finding where they are. I will ask these questions to the lawyer. Thanks.

Getting documents from Argentina

Anyone else have experience with this? I’m using an attorney there and the state of San Juan is sitting on the last two documents I need. It’s got me worried that I won’t get them.

Re: procedencia

Re: Documentation in Hand - Missing Anything?

Your case will be rejected without the birth certificate of the ancestor born in Italy. What do you mean by the official document from Palaia? The only document that proves your ancestor was Italian is his birth certificate showing the names of his parents who also must be Italian. A marriage ...

Trying to get Citizenship, Can wife and child acquire through me?

I am trying to get my citizenship to Italy. Finding the last bit of paperwork and we should be good to go to apply.

But can my wife and daughter acquire citizenship through me later? If so, what is the process, and how hard is it? My wife is semifluent in Italian and my daughter is 6 months old.
