In Italy, and especially in Sicily well exist: Arfì and Arfò, also Arfeli.. also Orfano, Orfanò, Orfila, Orfeo, Orfino(Caltanissetta province),

With census workers recording names wrong, families not understanding what was asked, indexers mis-interpreting handwriting.. the list goes on and on.
