I found a birth record, but I don't know if the last name is Aprile. I am not too good with the way the style of Italian handwriting, so I can't tell if it is April or something else. Looks like the surname is Aiello
Marty
The surname in this record is spelled Ajello. There are actually individuals in the town of Patti in the current Italian phonebook with the surname spelled with a j and not an i as in Aiello. The two surnames though are really one and the same, so Marty is not wrong. It was common for the "j" to replace "i" in some of the Sicilian surnames. The surname though is definitely not Aprile.

It is hoped that the research I am doing helps to discover, preserve and celebrate my family history.
