Translation from ships passenger log.

Post by PaoloJF »

Hi all, this is my first post :D

Can anyone translate or shed some light on the place name given in this ship log from 1844? It's a record of my ancestor coming to London. The country of origin looks like Parmegiani, Italy. But I can't find any record of Parmegiani. I know he was from the region of Parma, so is this some kind of Italian dialect for that area?

Any ideas would be most appreciated!

Demonym(s)
