Help reading handwriting on death record

Post by cjs1218 »

I have the death record of my ancestor Giuseppe di Febbo. The handwriting on it is very hard to read because it's kind of faint and it's harder to understand since I don't speak Italian. I'm hoping that someone can read it and tell me all the basic information on him like where he was born, who his parents were, etc.

I'm reading that he died on the 27th of April 1866 at 5 P.M. in the rural house of Signor ? (can't read his name) located on Contrada Borea di San Domenico. He was the widower of Colomba Branni. Age 73? at death, a contadino or peasant/farmer who had been born and was living in Atri; son of deceased Michele, of the same occupation. His mother's first and last names were not known by the individuals who declared his death at the town hall on the 28th of the month.

Here is what I see - the image is VERY faint.

#68
Dated 28 April 1866
Giuseppe di Febbo, died at age 73, the son of deceased Michele, a farmer, and the persons declaring the death did not know the given and surname of his mother.
He was the widower of Colomba Bianni(sp?)

I am reading that he died at the home of Signor Violetta(sp?), Contrada Borea di San Domenico, at 5 PM on the 28th.
