Translation help Catterina Castelli

Post by deigo1 »

Hello could someone help with the translation of Catterina Castelli baptismal record:

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cc=1947797

I was also curious what the date of her marriage to Andrea Guidotti was. There are notes in the margin, that seem to have different date information.

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cc=1947797

Thank you,
D.

The marriage record notation is just a verification that the volume entries are correct between the dates of 12 Aug 1877 & 11 Sep 1877 & have no connection to the marriage record itself.

Date of marriage record is 19 Aug 1877.

Catterina was baptized on 5 September 1858, and born on 4 September to Pietro Castelli and Domenica Cheli, his legitimate wife.
She was given the name Catterina Maria Domenica.

Note:
The baptism record for Andrea on page prior, gives his name as Andrea Domenico, not Domenico Andrea, so easy to see the use of Andrea as his name.

Thank you both.

On the marriage I was making out August (1877), but wasn't sure on the day ?

Tessa on the baptism, let me find the prior post where it was translated. My memory was it and the marriage record were both translated as Domenico Andrea.

Thanks!

Here is the extract of baptism of Andrea that was included in the allegati/processetti of the marriage to Catterina in 1877.

In the allegati of his later marriage in 1893, the extract of baptism reverses his two given names. And it appears that all notations and the marriage documents use the Domenico Andrea order of names based on this extract.

Here is the lrior post with translations by Pippo :D
You will notice that the extract of Catterina's death identifies her husband as Andrea.

Thanks for researching further Tessa. It sounds like they were consistently inconsistent lol :) I see on some of the kids birth they use Andrea and other they used Domenico Andrea, but the mother is consistent as Marianna Cheli. I'm thinking some children may have died young, so I'm looking for some of the death certs. I did see when he married Marianna and recognized the children that were alive, most of those birth certificates (also in the Allgeati) said Andrea as the father, but the publications in the same package from what I can make out all say Domenico Andrea.

I do see where when Domenico (Andrea) brought two of his sons to the US, his name on the ship manifest is Domenico. That made me think his passport was aligned to that:

Marianna's death where they listed him as Domenico Andrea (this was rolled in to one of my first posts :) )

The good news is with all that's been shared and translated by the team here, I think the variations of the name are indeed all the same person. The one key piece for this family that I'm still work is Andrea's death certificate, which the commune hasn't responded to yet :( .

Thanks!
