This date was translated as january 5?, 1822?

Could that be verified as when i look at pages before and after it seems it may be 1812?

I disagree.
The first marriage banns were issued on 31 December 1821, the second on 1 January 1822, and the third on the 5th of the same month. In the other marriage certificates of the same picture, the year always seems to me to be 1822.

The first bann was Dec 31, 1811 and the second and third banns on Jan 1st and 5th of 1812. The year of the marriage was 1812 not 1822. Look at folio 131. The year 1819 is on folio 157 and then records jump to the year 1822.

If there are baptisms recorded from 1812 on line as well, then there probably would be little bambini born to Michele and Virginia being baptised? The script really isn't so clear and does look like more like 1822 than 1812 but I appreciate what's been said.

The only child I’ve found born to them up to 1824 in Campofiorito was a daughter Caterina born Sept 11, 1813 (folio 143), image 227 of 307.

So this should be additional proof that the marriage was in early 1812 and not in 1822.
