Died 1st December 1963 in New York


married to Effesina Ott born 21 March 1887 in Germany
died 15 June 1973 in New York

almost certain : parents from Hugo: father Alfredo Valenti born 1845
in Italy
mother Cesrea/Teresa Lummi
1854 in ? prob.Italy
died 25 Feb.1914 in New York

I know about one child , Olga Valenti : born 4 march 1909 in New York
died 1st Feb 1981 in New York

married to : Rocco Quagliara : born 3rd August 1919
: died 1983

Last Name spelling for Olga variyng over the years, from Valenti to Valente, Valentine, Valentino and again Valenti, Valente ... mixed up totaly through the years.

On his father, which Alfredo; if it is Alfredo is which the right one.
Looking also for his wife´s parents and when she /they came to the U.S from Germany (most probably ) .
Where did they marry?
Olga, their daughter , does she have children?

I don`t know when he or his father came to the U.S.
There is also Hugo and Ettarina ( spelling ) Valenti in 1910 census, but birth is 1886 in Ireland...

I am confused and hope you understand what I am looking for at the moment.

Because of the similarity of the spouses name Effesina / Ettarina there is a little, minute doubt...

If you are not sure of his father's name...
You have Hugo's SS# from the SSDI, so you can request his SS application (SS-5) from Social Security. This application will have the names of his parents and his place of birth...

Today I received certificate and record of marriage for Hugo Valenti and Efesina Ott.
Unfortunately their birthplace is only Italy and Germany without specification of town.
On Hugos father: Alfred / Alfredo I have no more infos
" mother: Cesera / Teresa Lummi or Lunni no more infos
only those mentioned in my first posting

On Efesinas father from Germany : strange first name "christy"
mother : Amelia Meyer

Looking now for infos (census, marriage certificate birth/death certification immigration ...)on Alfred Valenti and Cesera Lummi / Lunni, Christy Ott and Amelia Meyer.
Possible related names: Olga Valenti, Rocco Quagliara, Joseph Lulli,Battaglia

Have you noticed that Hugo is listed as Dante's brother in law and that he stated that he was in the U.S. since 8 years (approx arrival year 1897) while Alfred and Cesira stated they were in the U.S since 18 yeras?

Hi Laura, no doubts that is the right Hugo Valenti; I know not why he declared that was in USA from 8 years instead of 18 years as the parents; maybe a error on the census, who know.... ?? lacking the "1" - 18 and not 8...
