Hi Everyone - I'm back!
I am looking to find more relatives on my maternal side. I found this marriage record of my great-great-grandfather and grandmother, Giuseppe Crifo and Guiseppa Miceli. I have in my records that he was born in 1822, but according to this record he was 22 years old in 1841 and would have been born in 1819. If anyone can please translate especially the parents of both bride and groom. Also, the place of birth for Giuseppa. I can't find birth records for either of them anywhere.

The groom and bride were born in this town, according to the marriage record. He was 22 and the son of Antonino C. (a day laborer) and Francesca Addamo (she was deceased). The bride was 20 and the daughter of deceased Vincenzo M.-a property owner- and her mother was Febronia di Giorgio. The marriage took place in the parish of this Mother Church on Nov 27, 1841.

Re: Marriage Giuseppe Crifo e Guiseppa Miceli
I found the death record of my great great great grandmother, Giuseppa Miceli. I am confused because in a previous marriage record her parents are listed as Vincenzo Miceli and Febronia Di Giorgio and was born in Montagnareale. However, this record of her death in Patti states she was born in Patti and her parents were the late Giuseppe Miceli and and I cannot understand the writing for her mother ( Signora il nome ?????). I know this is the correct death record because it lists her as widower of Giuseppe Crifo.
What should I do as far as these conflicting records?
The link to her marriage record is in one of the above parts to this post. Here is the link to her death record.

I found a birth record for Giuseppa Miceli in Montagnareale March 25, 1821. Lists a Vincenzo Miceli and a different mother - Febronia Blanco ?
Can anyone make any sense of all this?
Thank you.

The death record you have posted reads daughter of ..."d'ignota il nome e cognome" meaning the first name and surname of mother is unknown. Could just be that the persons declaring the death did not know her mother's nameItalianbellaSA wrote:I found the death record of my great great great grandmother, Giuseppa Miceli. At the least there seems to be some confusion over her mother's name...
EDIT TO ADD:
I found in interesting listing in the ten-year index for deaths in Montagnareale
There is a listing for an Antonia Blanco Di Giorgio - maybe Febronia also had these two surnames (which is not that uncommon) - and that is where the confusion originates!?
Here is the link to the index for the "D" - second line in the second column
Record is listed as #9 in 1886, but I was not able to locate it...
