This document is not an old letter. It is a proceedings of the family council document. Because the bride (Rosa) was a minor, and both of her parents were deceased and could therefore not give their consent to her upcoming marriage, other family members convened to vote on giving such consent. The family council members were Vincenzo Vassallo, the son of dec Salvatore Vassallo, age 72, a paternal uncle of the bride, and one of her guardians. The second was Giovanni Riccobono, the son of deceased Giuseppe Riccobono, age 55, a maternal uncle and also a guardian of Rosa. The third was Michele Riccobono, the son of deceased Giuseppe Riccobono, age 43, a maternal uncle of the bride. The fourth was Vito Romano, the son of Baldassare Romano, age 30, Rosa's brother-in- law.
