Hello--
I haven't visited this helpful site for a while. I like the new look!
Last night, I had a major breakthrough, thanks to Antenati's Reggio di Calabria records. For years, I had been searching for information about the death date and location of my husband's great-grandfather, Antonio Gatti. Happy to say, I learned that he had died in Reggio Calabria in 1914. Fortunately, the year's death acts had been indexed.
Now I am searching for death information about his wife Francescantonia Gambaro. Antonio's death record indicated that he was a widower in 1914. She was alive at the 1904 wedding of their son William. But, between 1904 and 1912 (the last year I was able to find a helpful index), the earthquake had occurred. The number of death records is huge, of course. But, I am having a hard time combing through the records to find an index.
Does anyone know of indices to these records--or can anyone suggest a method for combing through copious records without sitting at my computer until August?
Many thanks,
Susan Gatti

Re: Strategy for Reggio Calabria Deaths
Unfortunately, sometimes you just have to go page by page if there is no index.
We do it all the time
I'll take a look and see if I can locate it.
Can you post the links to the death of Antonio and the marriage of son William?
EDIT TO ADD***
