It lists the person reporting the birth as Luigi Mondini, I list his father as Serifino Mondini (told to me by Eleuterio's son) I know the father doesn't always report the birth but is he listed at all?

It is possible that the father had middle names, one of which is Serafino, by which he may have been known.

If you can get a copy of Eleuterio's marriage in 1942, you should have verification of the father's name.
