so i am guessing since Rosa does not seem to have her last name written unless her maiden name happens to be Stabile as well-- i would need to find Vincenza and Rosa's marriage record to see if her maiden name is listed there to go further back on her... Thanks so much! this is fantastic information.... have a great weekend!

Does this record for Fedelis and Antonina Mistretta state how old Fedelis and Antonina are so i can guess what year to look for their birth of each of them and then continue to estimate parents marriage date and then their births as well?
Thanks!

https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1 ... cc=2046915 on page 70 which is left page.. could someone translate the second record. I believe this is the marriage record of Vincentii Stabile and possibly Rosa ...? I cannot make it out much.... i am sure it must state the parents names but it is so light and I do not understand latin... Thanks!

This is a marriage record for Mariano Valenti and Vita Stabile. Vita Stabile was the daughter of Vincenzo Stabile and Rosa Zito from Bisacquino (folio #20 not 70) but living in this town. The first record on the page is not the same people. Look in the index under the letter M for Mariano. Sept 9, 1781

oh yeahhhh now i have a last name for rosa --- that must be Fedelis's sister... ok so now i still need to find Vincentii and Rosa's marriage record-- wonder if it is in bisacquino.... and their birth record... did they mean both parents were from bisacquino?

Linda
This will answer your question. Here's the marriage record of Vincenzo Stabile and Rosa Zito in Bisacquino (lower left)

https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1 ... cc=2046915

Feb 20, 1757
Vincenzo was never before married, the son of living Ignazio Stabile and deceased Vita Pizzitola. Rosa Zito was the daughter of deceased Filippo Zito and living Barbara la Russa
