I found the following yesterday, which I believe is the death record for the wife Filippa Mistretta, who died Sept 27, 1782 at about age 45. The priest used her married and not maiden name (Lorito) in this record. It says she was married to Vito. I couldn't find a baptism record for her though, and her parents' names and place of birth do not appear in the record. Bottom left.
Thank you Erudita, I really appreciate it. I have a feeling that they may have came from Alcamo. I believe Vito is my 4th gr grandfathers brother,( my 5th gr uncle) however I have searched in the Castellammare del golfo records for his (Vincenzo and his wife Lucia Cannone) records with no luck, only found their children's records. His brother Michele's marriage record states he was born in Alcamo, so now I start looking there.
Thanks again
Diane

You're very welcome. They could very well be from another town. I couldn't even find a marriage record for Vito Mistretta and Filippa Lorito in this town, but maybe I missed it in the indices.
