I know this is an old post, but can someone please tell me to ages of Damenica Gulino, Giovanni Prestianni, Gioachino Prestianni, and Damiana Gulino. I tried to read the age but couldn't make it out.

If you are talking about the ages in the 1885 marriage documents...

Gioacchino Prestianni and Damiana Gulino are both 24 years of age (Record #16)

Giovanni Prestianni is age 28, and Damiana Gulino is age 19 (Record #100)

I looked at the nati records from 1863 to 1878. Found nothing.

The births for years 1859, 1860 and 1861 do not appear to be available.

Here is the birth of Damiana Gulino in 1866- (the one who married with Giovanni)
#140 - dated 10 April 1866
Presented by the midwife, Antonina Mancuso, 40, daughter of deceased Antonio
Father: Pasquale Gulino, son of Maestro Lucio [Gulino], age 28, farmer
Mother: Nunzia Cicero, daughter of deceased Andrea, age 26
Both residing in Castelbuono

NOTE: In the index the child is listed as Damiana Gulino - But on the birth act it is Domenica Gulino. The age and parents' names match the marriage record.

I looked at the 1866, how did I miss that!

I see it does't list the wife of Lucio or the wife of Andrea. Is that normal?

Ive noticed that ppl did so young back then. Why was that?

I guess I missed it because I couldn't make out anything on the record. I try so hard but when the writing is like that and the ink is so light, I can't make it out.

Yes, the handwriting in this set of books is quite difficult to read.

As to the names of the wives of Lucio Gulino and of deceased Andrea Cicero - those would be the grandmothers of the child - not mentioned in the record because the line would be through the grandfather of each parent of the newborn. This is more to help identify the lineage because many names were quite similar in these towns as you have probably noticed when searching the index.

You would find the names of the grandmothers on the marriage of Pasquale Gulino and Nunzia Cicero.
