First name?

Post by jml1991 »

Can anyone read/translate the first name of the groom in this 1837 marriage record? The rest of the name is Josephi Cannariato, but I have never before come across the name preceding Josephi. Julri? Jutri? Justi? Or in Italian, Giusto? Thank you!

I disagree.
I think the first line is: "Matrimonius Jussi Josephi Cannariato cum Antonia ....".
Later on there is again the name Jussus, which is that of grandpa: "interrogavit in hac venerabile Matrice Collegiata Ecclesia Jussum Josephum Cannariato filium legitimum et naturalem quondam Nicolai Cannariato defuncti Jussi..."
