in the handwritten section at the bottom of the record-

the spouses, in the presence of witnesses, exposed that, from their natural union, a baby of masculine sex had been born, and given the name Cordaglio Giuseppe Domenico, born Aug 5, 1906, record #69, dated the 9th. With their marriage, they were recognizing him as their son and thus legitimizing him.

birth record: page 49 of 108

https://www.antenati.san.beniculturali. ... 86&lang=en

The record reads that the infant was born to Antonetta Cordaglio, age 18, in the house on via San Giacomo from her union with an unmarried man who was not a relative, or related to her in any degree, which would prove an obstacle to the infant's recognition.

I don't know why her surname is different in the birth record from what it is in the marriage record
