Question for you -

Right below their daughter Giuseppa the name Antonio Bongiorno is also listed. Does it mention who Antonio is?

I’m understanding that Don* (title) Antonino Bongiorno was a diacono (deacon), and son of Ciro, who was the revealer of the info in the census about his family.

Sounds good. Instead of "deacon" could it be that he was "of age" (di anno), meaning an adult?

On second thought, it looks like a capital "D" and I can see the "c", so deacon makes more sense. Especially given his honorific title of Don.

I am curious why Ciro had his son the Deacon reveal the information to the tax collector. It is almost like Ciro was looking for a little extra benefit knowing his son was a Deacon.

I have an 1816 Rivelo in which the 17-year-old son was the respondent on behalf of his father.

The father was age 74, only to die two years later, so perhaps he was not well at the time. Or he could have been out in the fields!

The son signed officially on behalf of his father: "in nome e parte di mio padre".

That formality doesn't seem to be the case in your document.

The father Ciro revealed the info to the tax collector, not his son, the deacon. Sorry you misunderstood what I previously typed.
