Dear Marty, Where did you find that info. Was it on Ancestry? I found Guiseppe's death on find a grave with a death date of 1940 and a birth year as 1898. The wife's name was listed there as Rosena Palmeri. With his birth year that marriage date would not be correct for him. Thank you for looking fo...

Carrying Palms For Safe Travel

My Italian mother in law always gave us a palm that had been blessed on Palm Sunday to carry when we traveled to keep us safe. Has anyone heard of that superstition? I am wondering if it is something done in Italy or if it is something she just did? Thank you!
