I need a translator to hire ( Boston local if possible!)
I have a rush job.
I need some documents translated and notarized by Monday for my Italian Citizenship appointment. (I know, way to wait until the last minute! )
I live in Massachusetts, Boston metro area. If you are one or happen to know one that can do this for me... Please let me know ...

Re: Any experience with Boston Italian Consulate?
Jessica-
This run down is AMAZING. Thank you so much. There is little information out there to help a person out.
I have one follow up question: they let you change the birth record? I was told that birth records can not be amended in Massachusetts.
I have to change the first name of my grandfather ...

Germans living in Ukraine 1928
Hi there,
Does anybody have any good sources for Ukraine genealogy?
I have an ancestor that was a German engineer...imported to Russia during Stalin's 5 year plan that began in 1928 (developing big public works). Specifically looking at Zaporizhia area- he helped build the Dneiper River Dam.
If ...

Re: Any experience with Boston Italian Consulate?
Thanks all!
We have consulted with an Italian translator that does a lot of this kind of work with the Boston Italian Consulate. Just for anyone else who may search for this information later:
Our contact tells me the name needs to be amended because the current Boston Consulate is very particular ...

There is a Mary Crivello on one of Antonino's cards too which leads me to think of Mary Carmela Cupone.

Re: A Missing Capone
So I thought we (YOU really) had figured this all out, Pippo.
And then I stumbled upon this:
I looked at the ship manifest again for Dominico Crivello and Mary Carmela Cupone and saw that they had put down "Antonino Crivello/brother in Massachusetts" as the destination in US.
So I looked him up ...

Re: Any experience with Boston Italian Consulate?
Nick,
Thanks for the words of advice. The documents are all in Massachusetts. My inquiry with the Department of Vital Records about amending the records wasn't promising, they said I probably couldn't get it done.

That's incredible sleuthing. Thank you so much. So it looks as if they were married in the USA... that is interesting news. I assumed they were married in Italy.
I am going to Revere to get copies of these records. My mother-in-law will get a big kick out of this.
Thanks again.
