Re: Joseph Russo of Tramutola and Rosa Vita of Marsicovetere - marriage record in Versailles legitimizing their children

Thank you for sharing your ideas. I found the marriage record for Nicola Vita and Rosa Campiglia (1879 in Marsicovetere, record # 29). Nicola's parents are Antonia Vita and Anna Masico(?) if I'm reading it right. So Rosa and Nicola Vita don't have the same father, but their mothers may share the ...

Re: Joseph Russo of Tramutola and Rosa Vita of Marsicovetere - marriage record in Versailles legitimizing their children

Also from the marriage record it looks like I was mistaken about Louis Vita's birthplace, it says Bordeaux and not Marsicovetere. I wrongly thought both children were born in the same place.

Joseph Russo of Tramutola and Rosa Vita of Marsicovetere - marriage record in Versailles legitimizing their children

I am seeking help confirming the information I found in this record. It is the 11 April 1889 marriage in Versailles, France, between Joseph Russo (born in Tramutola) and Rosa Vita (born in Marsicovetere). I found it on Ancestry in the collection Yvelines, France, Births, Marriages, and Deaths 1734 ...

Re: Help translating document in Marsicovetere marriage processeti from Italian Consulate in Paris

Disregard my question regarding "detto." I was able to find quite a bit of information about sopranommi with a little searching and I understand much better now.

Re: Help translating document in Marsicovetere marriage processeti from Italian Consulate in Paris

I have a question about the "detto" or "also known as." Someone had told me a little bit about it a few months back, but this is the first time I've actually seen it in a record, so thank you for pointing it out.

My question is, will the surnames sometimes be listed just as the "detto"? For ...

Help translating document in Marsicovetere marriage processeti from Italian Consulate in Paris

In the 1864 marriage processetti for Giuseppe Vita and Caterina DiStefano in Marsicovetere, there is a document I cannot quite translate. It is from the Italian Consulate in Paris and is related to the bride's father, Giovanni Battista DiStefano, a travelling musician in Paris. Can someone assist me ...

Assistance translating Montella birth record, Gaetano Palatucci....

This is the birth record for Gaetano Palatucci, #91, in Montella in 1880. Can someone help me with his mother's name and any other information I might need? I can make out that his father is Pasquale, age 28, but I'm having trouble with the rest.

Thank you!

Re: Translation request. Giovanni Fortunato.

I think I got most of it figured out on my own now, so I no longer need a translation. I had never seen a birth record quite like this so it was a bit tricky but I'm feeling confident I found the pertinent info. Thanks!

Translation request. Giovanni Fortunato.

Would anyone be willing to help me by providing a full translation of this record? It is for Giovanni Fortunato, son of Maria Ramunno and Antonio Fortunato. It is recorded in Marsico Nuovo in 1900, three years after his birth. He was born in Sao Paolo, Brazil, if I'm not mistaken. Thank you.

Re: Help finding two birth records...

Do you know where I could find information about San Giovanni Apostle church? Was it in Marsico Nuovo? Has it changed names, or was it perhaps destroyed in the 1857 earthquake? The closest thing I can seem to find that comes up in online searches is a place called San Giovanni that people where ...
