Parents names
http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it ... ewsIndex=0
I was hoping someone make out the parents names for #167 Giovanna. I thought father's name might be Gianvario. But mothers name I can not make out. I looked at actual record and it's even harder to read.

Re: Parents names
Father's name is Gennaro.
The mother's given name is cut off, but the surname appears to be Tortoro.

Re: Parents names
I need some help. I found the wedding of Giovanna and Francesco. I was hoping for a translation. I see her mothers name looks a little different, the info for the rest of the record would help very much.

Re: Parents names
The mother's surname is Iovino, a name found in Torre del Greco
I cannot do the translation at this time.
Someone will certainly do it soon. If not, I will come back to do it.

Re: Parents names
Thank you Tessa
They give you a lot of info in these records. The notarized act for him is strange, never a soldier nor a professed monk. Very odd

Re: Parents names
No, this declaration is not strange, and in fact there is also in the other acts of marriage of the register. Soldiers should have had a permit to marry and professed monks could not do so in church.
