1846 Faicchio Birth Note Translation - Antonio Lavorgna
I would appreciate a translation of the handwritten note at the bottom of the first page of my 1st great grandfather’s birth record. Record #11 in the 1846 registry. Page 278 in the volume of 288. His name is Antonio Lavorgna. His parents are Michele Lavorgna and Vittoria Porto. Does it say that Ant...

Re: Translation Help for Marriage Record, Please
One final question….
What comune are the bride’s parents (Antonino LaPorta and Catterina Mongillo) from?
I am unable to read it. Thank you very much!

One question: Were the bride’s parents (Antonino LaPorta and Catterina Mongillo) still alive at the time of the wedding?
Appreciate your help.

I have already completed a basic translation, but I am interested in a translation of the two paragraphs preceding the preprinted paragraph dealing with publication of the banns. Those two paragraphs appear to contain detailed information about the parents of the bride and groom. I believe the first ...

Re: Partial translation of Marriage Processetti
Thank you very much for adding to my knowledge.I find the early written records so difficult to read and translate. And, yes, this processetti is particularly challenging. From other records, I see that Benedetto’s wife is [Angela] Maria LaPorta, and Raffaele’s wife is [Angela] Maria Rosa Porto. I a...

Re: Need Help translating this birth certifiate
Dino - A quick look (I am not a native speaking Italian) tells me that this appears to be a birth record for a foundling surrendered to the wheel. Looks like Filomeno Caravallo, who presented himself to announce the birth is a 53yo man who receives babies from the wheel. The child was named Cesare R...

Seeking translation help for 3GGF death record
Hello. I would appreciate your help translating the death record (#54) for my 3GGF, Benedetto Biondi. I am particularly interested in the handwritten paragraph about Benedetto and information about his parents, who would be my 4GG parents. I believe that the name of Benedetto’s father is Tomasso, bu...

Re: Translation needed - Death Record for Benedetto Biondi (my 3GGF)
Thank you, mmogno. I appreciate it very much. I see that the parents lost at least this young son and an infant daughter before a surviving son, my first great grandfather, was born. How fragile life is.

Translation needed - Death Record for Benedetto Biondi (my 3GGF)
I would appreciate help translating this death record for RECORD 42 - BENEDETTO BIONDI. I am confused. I know that my 3GGF Benedetto Biondi died prior to 1856, but this Benedetto appears to be a young boy whose father and uncle are reporting his death. Is that right? Thank you all very much. http://...
