Re: Translating an Italian Birth Act
Thank you for clarifying the information of these documents. The information solidifies Mazzoli family history that my mother told me years ago. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! Jeanne

Translating an Italian Birth Act
Hello,
This birth record is for the baby brother of my grandfather, Pasquale Mazzoli. There were twins, Settimia and Octavio. They both died, as did their mother (my great grandmother, Santa Filomena Mazzoli), in March 1895 (?).
I cannot read the cursive handwriting! Thanks, Jeanne Troise Lyles

Hello,
I need help with translating portions of the attached Death Certificate for Luisa Mazzoli. She was my grandfather's little sister. I have everything except the names of the witnesses and the phrases after their names near the bottom of the "act". Plus, I can't read the handwriting at the ...

Yes, trips down memory lane. It reminds me of sitting with my Italian born nona and listening to her stories about growing up in Narni. Thanks again! Jeanne

Re: Need help reading Carla's last name.
Thank you PippoM and Tessa78. I believe that the photo postcard is from a maternal relative in Narni, Italy (Umbria).
But, if it is from the paternal side of the family, we do have relatives in the Abruzzo region.
Thank you for your input! Jeanne

Re: Translation of a Bank Transfer between Italy & US
Thank you, Giuseppe!
I have heard how my grandmother would send money and gifts from her new home in Pennsylvania to her family in Narni, Italy.
By the way, I have been to Rome three times, years ago. What a beautiful city. The art and architecture was incredible. My family and I had a wonderful ...

Hello everyone,
Here is a photo of a lovely Italian young lady. It has a brief note on the back. Once translated, I hope to figure out who she is in my family. Thank you for your time. Jeanne

Photo Postcard From Rosa Liti #2
Hello everyone,
Here is another photo postcard from my grandmother's mother back in Narni, Italy. Part of the edges
have been cut off, probably to fit into a frame. Rosa Liti is the grandmother. I believe that the man is her son,
Emilio Liti, along with his wife and their 3 children. There is a ...

Re: Need help with translating this photo postcard #3.
Dear Giuseppe "Pippo",
I was able to translate this photo card #3 into English online. I believe that it was written to my Nonna, Giovanna Perini Mazzoli, by her niece back in Italy. My Nonna had lost her first son, Gino, to pneumonia (from measles). It was awful. She told me the story herself when ...
