Hello all: I transcribed the second death record that liviomoreno so kindly posted, the best I could. Could someone read the following and correct it. I'm sure I don't have it 100%. There a a few words that I couldn't make out. Anyway, This is what I got from the first part:

Thanks mmogno and Livio! OMG this could not have been good! Because he died in Genova I assumed he was at the penal colony. And to die at 44 !!!

I would appreciate if someone could transcribe the death record of Francesco Mastromatteo enclosed. He died in Genova at the Penal Colony on 6 Oct 1878. This record is from Vico del Gargano where he was born. Thank you!
