Napoli Birth Record - 1894

I am hoping to find a birth record of a man born in Napoli in 1894. I know this is a long shot since records on Antenati are not up yet for Napoli, so I have no idea how to find the record so this is a last ditch effort.

The man in question is Alfonso Russo, born around January 1894, to Mr. Russo ...

Surname Deciphering

I am perplexed by a surname of a man, first name is Giuseppe last name look like "Io" or "In" both of which would be very strange. I can't seem to make out anything else it can be. Here is the marriage act as well as his name listed in the index, #7:

Re: Looking for Death Location

mmogno, this is incredible, thank you so much! I saw the word "monte" but couldn't take out the "Faiti" at all. All this additional context is so greatly appreciated as well. Happy new year to you and be safe and healthy.

Looking for Death Location

Here is the death act of Tommaso Schiraldi, 1917 from Toritto. My Italian is poor but I've gathered he died in WWI, but can't seem to figure out his location of death. Does this death act give a location of death other than his native Toritto?

Re: Death of Soldier in Asti

Thanks for providing some context! Not a romantic story as I thought it could be. Most of my relatives were born, married and died in the same village so this was a departure from the norm I was curious about. I wish there was a way to get a photo of this guy, though I doubt any military records ...

Priest Having a Child - 1860s

Hi all,

I'm hoping to get a more precise transaltion and perhaps some cultural context. Here I have a birth act of a cousin, Giuseppe Giovanni Michele Cirillo. The father is listed as Michele Cirillo, son of Onofrio, who would be my 6x great uncle. Michele is listed as "sacerdote." I understand ...

Re: Translation of Birth of Giuseppe Flavio

Erudita,

Thank you so much for this! So my understanding is Generoso’s parents were unwed and therefore they didn’t want to be named on his birth record and he was given a different surname. When they wed, he was legitimized and he took his father’s name. This is very interesting, thanks again so ...
