Marriage certificate Please help as soon as possible having documents translated
requested my parents marriage certificate and I was sent two, one from the city and then one from the church. My question is this do I need to have both translated since the city document is more of a license I believe. Does state on it "Certificate of Marriage Registration" not valid after 60 days.

Certified Translations for Miami Consulate
Must admit that the Miami consultes web page is a little confusing in wording. Can anyone PLEASE give me their thoughts on the following: (this taken from their web site)
"The translation, where possible, must be combined with the original document with the bending on the corner, and, if carried ...

Re: Birth certificate from Avellino
I did that for my grandparents, contact
Comune di Avellino
Via Mancini
Palazzo De Peruta
83100 Avellino
Write them a short letter what you are looking for , dates of birth and if you have his parents names include it. I sent $3.00 and surprisingly they answer quickly. Good luck.

what translations needed at Miami Consulate
I collected all the birth records and marriage certificates from Italy for grandparents. Then I collected their death certificates, my parents birth certificates and marriage certificate from the US and my birth certificate. Here's my question since I have been receiving different answers. What ...

Re: Proving No Record of Naturalization
I received a letter from the USIS for both grandparents saying no records found and a sealed copy of the 1940 census from the NARA showing that they both had AL status. Question is this sufficient or do I need more info to prove they were never citizens or naturalized. Next question do I need to ...

Re: Having difficulty finding any immigration records
Quick question please, does it mean that Pasqualina did not sail on the above mentioned ship? Sorry for the confusion.

Re: Having difficulty finding any immigration records
Thank you all so much for helping me, I have been looking for so long to find this record and you did it in no time. Thanks again. The Ragosta's were friends of the families. One more request, can you find my grandfathers entry into the US, he showed up year before she did by himself. I had no luck ...

Re: Having difficulty finding any immigration records
I really don't know if this will help, but I remember my grandmother telling me that when she arrived she and the kids were detained at Ellis Island due to illness aboard the ship.

Re: Having difficulty finding any immigration records
Checking with an elderly aunt to see if the name Ragosta means anything, I never heard of it. On grandparents wedding certificate and census records there is no mention of previous marriages on either side. This is getting weirder by the minute.

Re: Having difficulty finding any immigration records
Yes, Pasqualina was born in Sao Paolo in 1892. I have all the census records (which are all correct with names of family) and still can not find immigration (boats name etc.) The two born in Italy were Guiseppe and Concetta (Joseph and Constance), nothing on them either. Pasqualina's maiden name was ...

Re: Having difficulty finding any immigration records
Have tried every possible spelling variation that I can think of. The last name is Mazzariello (Michele angelo and Pasqualina). He came over by himself and she came later with 2 children. There is nothing about their arrivals anywhere.

Having difficulty finding any immigration records
My grandparents immigrated to the U.S. in 1919 and 1920 respectively. I can not find any information on their arrival either at Ellis Island or Ancestry.com. I know that both came thru Ellis Island (but I did check other points of entry including Canada) and still having no luck. Where records kept ...
